Trials launchparty ~ !!

Viime viikolla mentiin Red Lynxin kahden uuden pelin julkasujuhlaan! Itse pelit julkastiin kylläkin jo aiemmin keväällä, mut juhlat järjestettiin vasta nyt. Kerrankin Pate sai avecillisen kutsun joten mäkin pääsin vihdoin mukaan! XD

Juhlapaikkana toimi Helsingin Kattilahalli joka oli kyllä ehkä vähän turhan teollisuushallimainen mun makuun. Ruoka- ja juomatarjoilu sen sijaan oli tosi hyvä ja kaikkea sai ottaa ihan niin paljon ku napa jakso vetää... eikä maksanu mitään!

So last week we went to the launch party of Red Lynx's two new games! The games came out earlier in spring and now was the time to celebrate them! Finally Pat got an invitation to bring an avec so I get to join the party too! XD

The venue, Kattilahalli ("Kettle hall" roughly translated.. XD) was a bit too industrial hall-like for my taste but the food and drinks however were really good and you get to eat and drink as much as you wanted free of charge!

Itse juhlatilaisuus alko kivasti sillä, et juontaja ajo prätkällä sinne saliin pienelle lavalle ja sen jälkeen se kutsu tuottajia ja muita tärkeitä ihmisiä lavalle kertomaan niistä pelien tekemisen vaiheista yms. Juhlinnan kohteinahan oli siis Red Lynxin tekemät Trials Fusion (PS4, PC, XB360) ja kännypeli Trials Frontier. Ite en pahemmin välitä mistään auto-/ralli-/mopopeleistä, mut nyt kun Pate on ollu mukana tekemässä tota Trials Fusionia niin väkisinkin on tullu katottua ja kokeiltua itekin sitä ja ihan hauska se on (vaikka edelleen oon tosi surkee siinä)! En nyt kuitenkaan ala mitään mainospuheita pitämään, mut kannattaa joskus kokeilla jos siihen mahollisuus tulee! Haha! :D

Lopulta lavalle kutsuttiin kaikki mukana olleet työntekijät ja sit sai kamerat laulaa (mukana juhlissa oli myös pelilehtien toimittajia!).

The party started with small speeches given by the producers and other big chiefs. They talked about different steps of making the game and all that basic stuff. The celebration was targeted to Red Lynx's new games Trials Fusion (PS4, PC, XB360) and a mobile game called Trials Frontier. I'm not a big fan of motorsport games but now that Pat has been part of the Trials Fusion-team, I have watched and tried it myself few times and it's pretty fun (eventhough I still suck at it XD)! If you ever get the chance to try it, I highly recommend it! Haha! :D

Finally they called all the Red Lynx's employees to the stage and then it was time to let the cameras do the talking (there were also reporters from Finnish game magazines in the party!).

Paikanpäällä sai myös kokeilla ajella jollain kaasuprätkillä rinkiä, mut en uskaltanu mennä kokeilemaan... Olis muutenki varmaan hameen helma jääny pinnojen väliin ja revenny päältä tai muuta vastaavaa mun tuurin tuntien. XD Myöhemmin illalla paljastettiin myös hieno jääveistos Trials-pelisarjan "maskotista", eli sellasesta rumasta oravasta. Siellä se sitten suli ittekseen illan aikana ja jonku monen tunnin työt meni hukkaan. Heh!

There were also a track where you get to ride on a gas motorbike, but I didn't dare to go and try it... I know if I had tried the bike, the hem of my skirt would have got stuck between the spokes and ripped off or something... knowing my luck. XD Later in the evening they also revealed a cool ice sculpture of the Trials-games "mascot", the ugly squirrel. There it stayed the whole evening and somebody's hours of work literally melted away. Heh!

Illan pääohjelmana oli Kattilahallin takapihalle järjestetty prätkäshow, jossa 2 vapaamoottoripyöräilijää tuli esittämään temppuja niistä Trials peleistä! Ja se oli makeeta!! En vieläkään voi tajuu miten ne sai näyttämään kaikki temput niin helpoilta. Plus et ne suostu riskeeraamaan henkensä vesisateessa! Välillä kyllä huomas, et ne joutu vaan hyppäämään rampista yli ilman temppua koska märkä maa vaikeutti niiden temppujen tekoa. Mut se oli kivaa, et yleisö oli ihan täysillä mukana!

The main event of the evening was a motorbike show where the two bikers demonstrated stunts from the Trials games! And it was awesome!! I can't comprehend how they made every trick look so easy! And even with the rain trying to terrorize the whole event! It was also nice to notice that the audience really enjoyed the show despite the weather!

Loppuilta vietettiinkin sitte pelikonsolien ääressä ja Paten työkavereille esittäytyessä. Lähettiin jo hyvissä ajoin kotiin ja kyllä oli ihanaa heittää juhlavaatteet nurkkaan, vaihtaa pieruverkkarit takas jalkaan ja syödä mäkin ateriat! Täydellinen lopetus täydelliselle illalle! XD

We spent the rest of the evening by playing games and getting introduced to Pat's co-workers. We left the party pretty early and when we got home it felt sooooo good to get rid of the dress, change back into sweat pants and eat McDonald's take-aways! Perfect ending for the perfect evening! XD
